Perfect Sweet Iced Tea

We recently discovered your American classic, sweet tea — and not a moment too soon! So, before we enter the dog days of summer, we thought we’d brew up a pitcher or two using our very own Big Ben. Cheers to shady afternoons in the backyard cooling off with this distinctly American beverage. We’ll be drinking Clipper by the pitcher all season long and hope you will too!

The perfect sweet tea for the summer

Big Ben Sweet Tea

Try our beloved classic black tea chilled and sweetened.

How to make 1 Pitcher


3 cups filtered water (one large mason jar full)
1/3 cup of sugar
3 individual Big Ben teabags


  1. First, place tea bags in a heat safe pitcher or bowl.
  2. Now, put the kettle on. Bring three cups of filtered water to a boil and pour over tea bags. (Do remember to recycle the wrappers and tags!)
  3. Add 1/3 cup of sugar.
  4. Steep for 10 minutes, then remove tea bags and put them in the compost bin.
  5. Add additional chilled filtered water to taste / as needed. Give it a stir.
  6. To serve, pour over ice. Garnish with a slice of lemon to really put it over the top.
